Wisdom of Solomon

3:1-9

The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and there shall no torment touch them. In the sight of the unwise they seemed to die; and their departure is taken for misery. And their going away from us, for utter destruction: but they are in peace. For though in the sight of men they suffered torments, yet their hope is full of immortlity. Afflicted in a few things, in many things they shall be greatly rewarded: because God hath tried them, and found them worthy of Himself. As gold in the furnace, He hath proved them, and as a burnt offering He hath accepted them; and in time thee shall be respect had for them. The just shall shine, and run to and fro like sparks among the reeds. They shall judge nations, and rule over the people, and their Lord shall reign forever. They that trust in Him, shall understand the truth, and they that are faithful in love shall find rest in Him; for there is grace and mercy for His Saints, and visitation for His chosen ones.
