O Divine Light!

O Love, Who hands Himself over to suffering for us!

Enlighten the eyes of our souls, that we might see the ruination caused by the desires of our sinful hearts!

Breathe a holy fear into us, that we might tremble at sin if it merely draws near to our soul.

Strengthen our will with grace-filled power for the fight against impiety.
