Orthodoxy & the Religion of the Future

With the blessing of Vladika Gabriel, this fall's Southern Missions Conference will be held at Lutheridge Retreat Center, Arden, North Carolina -- which is 5 minutes drive from St Nicholas Church, Fletcher.

COST

• SINGLE occupancy:$225 (includes room, board, conference);
• DOUBLE OCCUPANCY:$175 (includes room, board, conference);
• Commuters & Teens: $125 (includes meals & conference for commuters room, board, conference for teens)
• Commuter/No Meals: $50;
• Commuter Teen: $50 (incl. meals, Youth Workshops);

Child Care: $25 (programs and/or meals).

[Child care available. Programs available for youth ages 6 -12. Youth Workshops are open to registrants aged 13 - 18.]

PRICE INCLUDES:

• Two nights at Lutheridge Retreat Center (non-commuters)
• Conference registration, materials, and shuttle service
• Friday: refreshments
• Saturday: breakfast, lunch & dinner
• Sunday: lunch

• 7pm: Welcome & Social -LR

  • Youth Workshop: "Death, Near Dear & After Death" - Fr David Moser, et.al.
  • Choir/Chanters Rehearsal

SATURDAY, NOV. 10th

• 8 am: Morning Prayers & Panakhida for Fr Seraphim Rose - Church
• 9 am: Breakfast - LR
• 10 am: Opening Remarks
• 10:30 am:
  • Presentation on Fr Seraphim - Fr Alexey Young with Panel Discussion, Q & A with those who knew Fr Seraphim
  • Youth Workshop: "Orthodoxy & Science" - Fr David Moser
• 11:15 am: Break
• 11:30 am:
  • Panel Discussion on Ecumenism: "Orthodoxy & the Religion of the Future"
  • Youth Workshop: "The Nature of the Soul" - Fr David Moser
• 1pm: BBQ
• 3pm:
  • Presentation of Papers on Fr Seraphim Rose
  • Youth Workshop: "Ecumenism (Youth Version)" 3pm: Choir/Chanters Rehearsal
• 5pm: Vigil & Confessions - Church 9pm: Dinner - LR

SUNDAY, NOV. 11th

• 9am: Hierarchical Liturgy
• 1pm: Lunch - LR
• 3pm: Conference Q&A Panel with Vladika & Clergy
• 5pm: Conclusion of Conference
