Lenten Retreat


St Nicholas Church, Fletcher, North Carolina

Those within the Deanery will be receiving registration packets in the mail, However, knowing how cluttered our schedules tend to get, here is the tentative schedule for the Retreat:

  • Wednesday, March 22nd
    • 7:00 pm (until ...) -- Registration & refreshments at Lutheridge Retreat
    • Center. Travelers should eat in transit or Dutch upon arrival.
  • Thursday, March 23rd
    • 9:00 am -- Morning Prayer
    • 9:30 am -- Breakfast
    • 10:00 am -- Tour of the Historic Biltmore House with Vladika Gabriel
    • 4:00 pm -- Gathering & refreshments at Lutheridge / Registration for late
    • arrivals
    • 5:00 pm -- Shuttle leaves for St Nicholas
    • 5:30 pm -- Matins
    • 7:30 pm -- Shuttle leaves for Lutheridge
    • 8:00 pm -- Dinner
  • Friday, March 24th
    • 7:30 am -- Shuttle leaves for St Nicholas
    • 8:00 am -- Hours & Hierarchical Presanctified Liturgy
    • 12:30 pm -- Shuttle leaves for Lutheridge
    • 1:00 pm -- Lunch
    • 2:00 pm -- Presentation: "Antagonists in the Church: Ministering in
    • the Midst of Adversity" by Archpriest John Townsend.
    • 3:00 pm -- Business Meeting
    • 4:30 pm -- Adjourn
    • 5:00 pm -- Shuttle leaves for Asheville Airport and St Nicholas Church
    • 5:30 pm -- Vespers (optional)

Cost: $100 per person. Includes all lodging, meals (except Thursday's lunch), Biltmore House Tour, transportation and airport shuttle. Beautiful rooms - double occupancy.
