I am crucified with Christ!
We must live according to these words in order to understand or follow any command that leads to life
Sunday after the Exaltation of the Cross
2016-10-02
Homily on the Galatians 2:16-20, read on the Sunday after the Exaltation of the Cross, particularly: “I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God”; We will not understand the purpose or meaning of all the commands God gives us, nor be able to follow them if we do not understand and embrace the meaning of being crucified with Christ. This is not merely theological triva; it is the only way to live that gives life.
