- Prison Visit Report: There is *NO* typical day in prison ministry. Two main principles of ministry. Praying is the hardest thing. Suggestions about the Jesus prayer. (mp3 format)
2014-10-01
SYNOPSIS:Today I was unable to see my guys in the prison because of a last minute change that occurred AFTER I drove 2.5 hours to get there. I discuss a typical day in prison, and compare it to jumbo shrimp and Army intelligence. No matter, stuff still got done. The two principles of ministry, and life in general were obeyed. The most important and hardest thing anyway is prayer, and I discuss a rule for doing the Jesus prayer that almost everyone should follow. There is easy stuff, which we must do and it helps us do the hard stuff - intense and regular prayer.
- Prison Visit Report: Best St Sergius day ever - new wine in old bottles - the unjust judge - three rules of ministry - "Patches" (mp3 format)
2014-10-08
SYNOPSIS:Prison Visit report, at the mouth of the Bosque river, in Waco. This was the best St Sergius day ever, because I celebrated liturgy in prison. The most important thing that happened was AFTER liturgy. Money cannot buy this! Those who minister *face to face* in prison will understand. Discussion of the parable about the new wine in old wineskins and the unjust judge. It all applies very much to prison life, which is a lot like regular life, except people live behind bars, and it is usually more physically dangerous. I even throw in a little singing of the song "Patches", because it is relevant!
