Family Commemoration of the Departed.

Sing/chant one or both of the following hymns after the blessing of the food at a family meal. Include the names of the departed in your family and anyone else you would care to remember, either during the singing of the hymn, or immediately after. For convenience, those you remember can be written on the back of this card. Keep the card by your dining table.

In our prayers at home together, we can, and should, pray for anyone.

If you also always remember +DANIEL (+06-11-2017 ns), our son, brother, uncle, friend, you will have our deepest gratitude (and prayers if you contact us, see “Daniel’s List”https://www.orthodox.net//daniel/dyptichs-daniels-list.html &  https://www.orthodox.net//daniel/dyptichs-daniels-list.doc & https://www.orthodox.net//daniel/dyptichs-daniels-list.pdf  or email to Priest Seraphim, seraphim@orthodox.net )

Troparion for the departed, Tone VIII:

O Thou Who by the depth of Thy wisdom dost provide all things out of love for man, / and grantest unto all that which is profitable, O only Creator: / Grant rest, O Lord, to the souls of Thy servants (names); // for in Thee have they placed their hope, O our Creator and Fashioner and God.

Kontakion for the departed, Tone VIII, special melody:

With the saints give rest, / O Christ, / to the souls of Thy servants (names), / where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, / nor sighing, // but life everlasting.

+DANIEL (an Orthodox Christian) reposed on Sunday, June 11, 2017 (ns), while trying to swim across the Spree river near the Ebertbrücke, 10117 Berlin. He was on a college trip, studying abroad. Daniel had time, and cared for anyone who crossed his path. He was always very kind.
