Christ is risen! Father Seraphim, thank you for this wonderful homily. Spiritual intelligence is absolutely crucial in salvation. This Tuesday my family and I were in San Francisco. We were so fortunate to be able to visit the house and the room where St. John of Shanghai lived during the construction of the Holy Virgin Cathedral and later on before his repose. There were many icons, a desk, an armchair (we were blessed to be able to sit in it for a little bit), no bed (!), and.... lots and lots of books. St John of Shanghai was thirsty. And he became a saint. And he was one of us. And those who he baptized are among us (I met some of them in San Francisco and Los Angeles). What I am saying is that we have the present day examples, they live right next to us. They are raising our bars and we should follow. They also show us what practically we should do in our private lives in order to be saved. Thank you again for a wonderful reminder.
