I finally got the opportunity to read about the Buddhist who became Orthodox. That's a really nice article, Father. I never knew that about Buddhism. But how blessed he is to have discovered our Lord and his Lord. And how blessed we are also to have a God who listens to us, whatever we have to say. Our God truly listens even in an informal conversation with Him. And I find He answers my prayers in wonderful ways even when it is not in formal prayer form, but just a thought or a question I might have in my mind. Thanks for publishing that, Father Seraphim.

Reading this story and this monk's description of his beautiful relationship with the Lord reminded me of one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite prayers--the prayer of St. Symeon the New Theologian in the pre-communion prayers:
<em>"And, strange to angels and the minds of men, Thou conversest with them ofttimes as with Thy true friends."</em>
