Some other activities for other days that you might consider: making &quot;Larks&quot; (fasting cookies) for the 40 Martyrs of Sebaste; talking about St. Phanourios and making Phanouriopita (I have some recipes if you like); learning to sing special Troparia and Kontakia the week before they will be used; making cardboard shoes before St. Nicholas Day (patterns are available on the web: http://stnicholas.kids.us/stnic/assets/craft_shoes.pdf ; (there are many other appropriate St. Nicholas crafts and activities on the website http://www.stnicholascenter.org/Brix?pageID=23 ); making Orthodox Advent calendars; I have a list of children&#039;s Orthodox books that I can highly recommend, too.
