L: Staged Materials. The cedar is beautiful. R: Digging the holes.

It has been an adventure so far! We have had many holes dug, and two moved (one moved twice) because we discovered THREE lines: An old water and gas lines, and our current water line (supplying the building). One line was copper, and buried about 2.5 feet deep. It was probably an old water line. Another was black pipe, and also deep – probably for gas (we have no gas service right now).

The shallow water line is our current supply line; in some places it is only 6 inches deep thanks to the hard work and tenacity  of the plumber when the temple was built.

Very shallow! Water line. Hole was moved.

There were lots of sprinkler lines to worry about. Two lines were capped off, after much digging around by yours truly. Actually, my son Tim helped with one last night, and it was easy to find; this morning it took me about 2 hours to find the right spot to cap the other one (below).

May God bless this project!
